I have a SP list that has multiple dates that will be populated at different times for an item. I want to send an email when these date fields are populated. It seems when you choose 'start when items are modified' as conditional it starts the workflow for the condition but also any time other items are modified. Is there a way to have it only run on the conditional startup options?

My guess is that you can configure your workflow to start when an item is modified, but only when the date(s) are not blank. Even though the image below is related to 'When an item is created', the same settings can be applied when items are modified.
