Symptoms


I have a K2 for SharePoint Integrated workflow and the workflow is working fine. We made a change to the underline SP library (adding new column, regenerating SmartObjects, and redeploying the workflow). The workflow deployed correctly but it’s not failing at the Check-out document step. The workflow is failing on the second step in the workflow which just checks out the document. It was working fine before we regenerated the smart object after editing the underlying SharePoint document library (added a new person column, changed an existing person column to allow only 1 person rather than multiple).
 

Diagnoses


Reviewing error profile from K2 Workspace (http://pK2 Site URL]/workspace), we noticed the following error.
“Service: vService Name] Service Guid: ff93ce5c-5e7a-4a8a-81f6-c902f231ea24 Severity: Error Error Message: The query cannot be completed because the number of lookup columns it contains exceeds the lookup column threshold enforced by the administrator. InnerException Message:”

 

Resolution

The issue was resolved after increasing lookup column threshold on SharePoint.
