Work Assignment Notifications No Longer Coming In
 

Diagnoses


I am developing a K2 solution and made a change to the Task Assignment workflow step from the standard notification to a custom version. Once I made this change, I left the custom email with the default values and test, I no longer receive work assignment notifications. I have check my Junk folder and made sure that I have no inbox rules. There are no workflow errors for this either.
 

Resolution

This issue appeared in a User Task step in a workflow. The following fix was applied:

1. Remove custom ID from the subject line of the custom notification message.

2. In context browser expand Inline Functions and expand Conversion

3. Drag ToString(Value) into the subject line.

4. In the wizard expand Item references and from the required reference drag the custom ID column into the required Value box.

5. Finish all wizards and deploy the workflow.
