Symptoms

Server was unable to process request. ---> No aplication configured for Word Services.
 

Diagnoses

As the error message state "No application Configured for word services", the first area we looked at is to check if Word Automation Service application is configured and running. We found out that it was not configured.

 

Resolution

RESOLUTION:

The following was done in order to get this issue resolved.

1. Create Word Automation Service Application on SharePoint Central Administration site.
1. Configure Word Automation service application and ensure that it is in “running” status.
2. Configure associates so that it can be consumed by web application.
3. Under System Settings -> Manage services on server - Ensured that word automation status is “started” on all servers on the farm.
