I am running Nintex 2010. I recently had a workflow corrupt so any time it ran on an item, I would end up getting an error message if I tried to open the Workflows menu, resulting in me having to recreate the item from scratch every time. I have replaced the workflow, so now I have two workflows with very similar titles (ie. Workflow 2015 and Workflow 2016). I've gone through every item to ensure that Workflow 2015 is no longer running on any of them; however, when I look at Workflow Settings it indicates that there is still one workflow running somewhere on the site. Is there any way to easily find out which item this workflow is running on?

Hi

Can you see this if you go to list settings, workflow settings?

Remove, block or restore a workflow?

The list settings, workflows settings is where I determined that there is still one workflow running. I haven't deleted the workflow in question yet, though that is what I would ideally like to do so that it isn't accidentally started by any user. I could remove the workflow, but that doesn't tell me which item it is supposedly running on so that I can ensure the item continues to proceed through the workflows as it should.

did your old workflow create a status column (normally checked by default)?  Can you create a view on your list where that status column is In Progress?

The old workflow did create a status column; however, I deleted it some time ago not realizing that it could come in handy for something like this. I haven't been able to find a way to reinstate that status column.

However, I just had another thought that seems to have worked. I went into the task list and sorted it by the workflow that I am trying to find, then determined which item was affected by pinpointing the task that wasn't completed.

Thank you for your suggestions! I find it's useful to be able to brainstorm solutions with others! happy.png

Yes we call it the cardboard cut out developer where I work - normally by the time you've finished explaining the problem to someone else you've solved it!  happy.png pleased you have a solution now!
