I have a user who is trying to use the escalation in a flexi task

and it is not escalating after the elapsed time.  So I started to look

at this and I don't recall setting working hours anywhere.

Where does this get setup?

that option is available in the reminders tab of the assign flexi task action.  have you checked there?

What I am trying to find out is Where are the business hours defined?

If my SharePoint farm is on the east coast and 8am-5pm is the standard,

west coast users will have a reduced window of time.

So if I want to say business hours are from 8am - 8pm, where is that setup?

Site Settings > Regional Settings


Hold on I think I may be wrong...  just seen this on the help button in the action:

During business hours only

The During business hours only option specifies that only business hours are used in the count down.

Example:

◾️The task is assigned Wednesday at 4pm and is configured to wait 4 hours before sending a reminder (the work day is defined as Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm).

◾️A reminder will be sent at 11am on Thursday: after-business hours are not included in the countdown.

Appreciate the digging for an answer.

I believe I found the answer in the SharePoint Site Collection Settings/Regional Settings.

That is where the work day hours are specified.

yes that what I said above.  but I am not sure if it looks at those settings.  I may play around with them and see if that impacts anything else.

you can also "manage holidays" which will exclude those days too.
