In a nutshell:
The K2.net 2003 SmartForm controls enable ASP.NET developers and business process designers to rapidly create workflow forms to connect people and business applications to processes, without the need for extensive programming.
No coding is required to bind data to forms or forms to processes. Drag and drop customizable controls onto standard ASP.NET forms and bind process or activity data to the selected controls.

The Smart Form is very similar to existing aspx page, just that all the component provided in the toolbox has the capability to connect to the K2 workflow directly, am I right ?
Exactly. But may I know can I use the mixture of controls from both K2 Smart Form and normal ASPX tools ? For example, in the form, I have a K2GridFormula control, some K2Label and K2text Box, PLUS at the same time, I also can add repeater, datagrid , datalist, all sort of validator form the web form toolbox , horizontal rule from HTML toolbox ?
Sure, shouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, I haven't got access to the code that our partners and clients use to send as an example but some people do amazing stuff with Smartforms.

Answer 1:
No, you do not need to buy Smartforms separately. If you have Visual Studio 2003 and IIS installed on your development machine, it will be installed automatically when you install K2.net Studio. All you effectively pay for is the K2.net Server Software and License to use it.
Answer 2:
Since the K2.net SmartForm controls inherit from the normal aspx web form controls, there's really not a lot of difference except for the fact that the Smartform controls interact with K2.net Server. You may experience some validation difficulty and in some cases errors thrown on page level may occur twice - once for the Smartform and once for the base form.
My only recommendation would be to install the SmartForm controls and 'play' around with it. There's a lot of information in this forum and the K2.net knowledge base articles - these should be your first place to look when you experience problems.
Hope this helps,
