Hi all,

In a active K2 Environment, if Delete the K2ServerLog database and recreate it using the Configuration manager, what problems it can cause?

Will it erase out all the workflows deployed?

Please let me know, thanks.

You will lose all reporting information for active and completed processes.

The ViewFlow will most likely also not work for processes started after recreating  the new K2ServerLog. All processes will haveto be redeployed.

If the main aim is to remove all active workflows, you can look at dropping both the K2Server db and the K2Serverlog db, rerun the setup manager to recreate them. Make backups before attempting and keep in mind that this will allow you to start fresh with no data. All data will be lost.

Thanks Vernon. That's exactly I wanted to do.

There are too many active process instances. We would want to curb those.

i believe if I delete both these DBs, i dont have to redeploy all processes and Smart objects.

Am I getting it correct ?

Nope, you will have to redeploy your processes. The SmO got me thinking, I’m not sure that they use the K2Server and K2ServerLog db’s so there is a chance that they might remain intact but I’m not sure about this. Worst case yes you will have to redeploy processes and SmO.
