David, using your new tool could someone develop their own web forms (not smart forms) and call the DLLs or k2.net without having to use the k2.net smart forms?

What I've developed is just a wrapper around the Interop.K2Studio component, to allow me to configure and export processes as part of a nightly batch build and deploy process. It wouldn't do what you want.
As already suggested, you would need to use either standard ASP.Net pages or .Net winforms, but reference the K2ROM assembly to provide your own solution, instead of using SmartForms The various APIs are well documented in the help file that comes with K2Studio.
