Symptoms
I have a new K2 server running 4.6.9. I would like to access an older SharePoint 2010 server that currently services an older k2 version. Can I have a SharePoint environment service two separate K2 servers with different versions? What are the steps that I need to take to ensure that I don't break the current (older) K2 server's connection to the SP 2010 environment?
Diagnoses
K2 does not support this type of configuration.
Resolution
This is not possible/supported. You cannot use the same SharePoint farm for multiple K2 servers/environments that have different product versions.
However, you can setup multiple K2 Servers to use the same SharePoint 2013 Farm as per the following KB: http://help.k2.com/kb001632
