Hi,

I have a form where when a new request is entered the Save & Submit and Cancel Buttons should be highlight. Once it is done a mail is triggered to the requester with the Link to the Form and the Record ID.

If the requester wishes to edit or update he can click on the Link and can do that.

Here comes the catch, now when this form is opened again a field New Record ID has the record number.

At this point the Save and Submit button should be disabled or hidden and an Update Button should be visible in place of it.

Below is the image of the form and the Rule that i have set.

I am making a mistake in the selection of the Function in the rule.

Kindly assist me on it

Hi,

I tested your first rule and it works as expected.
Make sure that the rule is associated to the button control.

Hi Simon,

Thank you for the support.

However i am still having the Issue.

Now in the new request i do not see the Update Button highlight, however when i open the submitted form to edit i can see both the Save and Update Button.

I am attaching the picture in order of 1. The Formula (both), 2. The New Form, 3. The Form in Edit mode.

Hope this gives you the clear picture.

Either i am using an incorrect Runtime Function or missing some syntax here.

Would be most pleased on the Solution.

Thank you in advance.

Venkat

If you just want some buttons Visible when in new mode and some when in Edit mode just edit the Appearance section of the button.
