I have a workflow which starts with an InfoPath form, where users enter various data which will be used to build a SharePoint list. In the List Items event I choose to specify a value for a field and then in the Context Browser I go to XML Fields, find the process, find the form, then find the relevant field. I initiate a new workflow instance using the InfoPath form and it goes through the approval process. When it reaches the List Item event I get an error that the XML field could not be found. I believe there is a difference between XML fields and K2 and XML fields in an InfoPath form? How can I access the data in my InfoPath form fields from the List Items event? I have found some code on the Underground which I used in a Server Event before the List Item event to retrieve the XML field data and assign it to a data field, but I got the same error with that (28031: XML Field <field name> not found).
