Symptoms

Upgrading K2 for SharePoint 4.6.7 to 4.6.9, receive error that setup manager failed
 

Diagnoses

We are on SharePoint 2010. Upgrading to 4.6.9 from 4.6.7 and the installer fails quickly - it appears to be referencing SharePoint 2013. Please review attached Installer Trace log
 

Resolution

The "K2 for SharePoint 4.6.9 (4.13350.1660.1)" installation files are for Sharepoint 2013 integration. To upgrade the K2 for Sharepoint 2010 integration components, please use the "K2 blackpearl 4.6.9 (4.12060.1640.1)" installation files. Please run this installation files on all SharePoint WFEs and the Central Administration server to upgrade the K2 for Sharepoint 2010 Components. Lastly, please run the "K2 for Sharepoint Configuration Wizard" from the Central Administration server to upgrade and update the solutions, and also reactivate the K2 features to the corresponding site collections.
