Diagnoses


When wanting to upgrade to the latest version 4.6.11 you attempt the following:

1) upgrade to K2 blackpearl 4.5 Update (4.10060.1.1420) - SUCCESS
2) upgrade from K2 blackpearl 4.5 Update (4.10060.1.1420) to 4.6.11 - FAILED

the message that was received is the following:

Analysis Result: Warning.
Select Repair on this node to start the Rebuild Indexes jobs to improve server performance.
WARNING: K2 blackpearl Server will be stopped during the rebuilding of indexes. Depending on the size of your databases, the load on your SQL Server and the server’s processing power, the rebuilding of indexes may take a long time to complete.
The following indexes were rebuilt successfully:
• K2Server

The following indexes are still building:
• K2ServerLog has 4 indexes remaining
• SmartBroker has 23 indexes remaining

Select Analyze on this node to update the status and determine if the indexing has completed.


Can you please send us the K2 Database Consolidation Tool ? and confirm that this upgrade process is OK to follow.


 

Resolution

The correct procedure to upgrade was the following:

Start on K2 blackpearl 4.5 Update (4.10060.1.1420)
- Run the attached Workspace.TestTable.sql script to add the missing table
- Upgrade to K2 blackpearl 4.6.6
- Run the Database Consolidation Tool (I used V1.7)
- Reconfigure K2 blackpearl 4.6.6 with the consolidated database
- Upgrade to K2 blackpearl 4.6.11
