Symptoms

The following error was thrown when workflow execute the SharePoint 2013 “Update Document Properties” method:
Service: iService Instance Name] Service Guid: a59d4c98-b456-477b-9227-48c87481b368 Severity: Error Error Message: Guid should contain 32 digits with 4 dashes (xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx). InnerException Message:

 

Diagnoses

The issue was caused by mapping text value to a managed metadata column on the document property.
 

Resolution

Using SharePoint 2013 SmartObject to get the managed metadata for mapping resolved the issue.
