I need to be able to update all the active processes to the new process version.

I saw the option Update Design template but I am not sure what this feature update.

Does it update the active processes to use the new process or not?

Does it update the XML data of a task to use the new Infopath version?

Do I have to stop (not delete) all the active processes so it will the feature will update those items?

If the Update Design Template is not updating the active processes to the new version, how can I proceed to update the active processes?

Please note that I do not have PlackPearl. I have BlackPoint and Visual Basic.
