Unable to update smart object service configuration. Broker Management Gives Out of Memeory exception
 

Diagnoses

Dear Support,

We are unable to update smart object service configuration. System took lot of time whenever we click configuration link on broker management utility and after couple of minutes gives an out of memory exception.
We found that application was consuming around 7gb of RAM on the server at the time of error.

The issue mentioned have been logged by Labs support team. This will be taken care in the subsequent release(s).

BrokerManager.exe loads the Service Instance XML into memory and this causes the large memory spike. Obviously when a Service Instance contains a large amount of Service Objects with large amounts of properties, this causes the memory spikes.

we have provided a proper/valid "workaround" for the issue and that is to use the SmartObject Tester Tool.
