Symptoms


We found out that suddenly our emails could not be sent out through the K2 server. We did a telnet send email test from the server and is successful, not too sure why it couldn't be sent out through the workflow.

The following error was found:

"There is no connection string for the destination email address admin@denallix.com"
 

Diagnoses


The email address in the error message is the from address, the email address used to send out emails.

This error is due tot K2 being unable to locate the connection string for the specified email address. Make sure the connection string is correctly configured.
 

Resolution

Check your connection string editor and make sure there is a connection string set for the email shown in the error message. If the connection string is not there, you can use the connection string editor to create a new SMTP connection string for your new from address. Once you have created the new connection string for your new from address, save the changes in your connection string, then restart your K2 blackpearl service. Test out your process after that and monitor if the same issue arise.
