Hi,

We were trying to install the Oracle Data Access service when the K2 Black Pearl Service stopped and I was unable to restart it.see below the event log. We wanted Oracle Data Access Service to register new service type in BrokerManagement for creating new oracle service instance for smartobjects.

We think it is related to the ports it is running on. We probably tried to run the K2 Server console without stopping the service.

I have attached the screenshot of the error we have got. Please help us resolve the problem.

Thanks,

Shilpa

As you mentioned, Host Server: Bind() errors usually indicate that the server is running as a service and you are trying to run it in console mode (or visa versa but running it as a service usually kills the console so it's not too common).

Make sure that there are no instances running in other sessions, use Task Manager to check all sessions. If you can't find anything, something else might be bound to the port K2 is configured to use, use the following to check:

netstat –a –b –o
