Symptoms

I am unable to install the K2 for Visual Studio component for anything but VS 2010 and VS 2015, even though I have VS 2012 and VS 2013 installed on the machine. Why are there no options to install the VS component for K2 in these versions of VS?
 

Diagnoses

For new installations or adding components, the setup must be executed from the Installation package.
 

Resolution

Running the installation from the Installer Package and not from the Setup Manager resolved the issue.
