Symptoms

I have K2 studio on a separate machine to the server.

When deploying from K2 Studio, I see the below error:
(OnBoarding) The field 'SmartForms Runtime' used in the Event Item on the 'ClientEvent' Event does not exist in the environment library. Create the required field where necessary.

The error occurs prior to the deployment wizard showing.
 

Diagnoses

Check to see if the missing field(s) are in the environment variables:
K2 workspace -> Management -> Management Console -> -> Workflow server -> Processes -> -> String Table
OR
K2 workspace -> Management -> Management Console -> -> Workflow server -> String Table -> String table

If they exist, then install the K2 SmartForms Client Components.
 

Resolution

Run a modify installation and install the K2 SmartForms Client Components.
