Symptoms


In our K2 environment the task assignment notification emails are not being sent. Although, other email notifications are working fine. Because of this the business users are not getting any email.

 

Diagnoses


Check the exchange roles and AD groups given to the k2 service account and other permissions: http://help.k2.com/kb001189
 

Resolution

Resolution:
"
It is an issue of permissions to be given to k2 service account on the exchange server and it's groups and roles.

kindly Let the Domain admin read the below messages carefully:

in the repair.txt there is the following:

Standard - Exchange Integration Permissions

Analysis Result: Warning.
The following rights are still required for Impersonation:
- RoleBased Access Control
Select Repair to attempt to grant these permissions. If the permission cannot be granted automatically, you can run the following command from the Exchange command prompt:
new-ManagementRoleAssignment -Role: ApplicationImpersonation -User: "HBMSUsvc_k2bp"
Could not repair, please check if the user 'svc_k2bp' has sufficient rights to grant the required permissions and that a connection can be made to the Exchange server. Please ensure the Exchange Management Console is installed on this machine.

Administrative - Exchange Integration Permissions

Analysis Result: Warning.
The K2 Service Account is not a member of the Recipient Management Active Directory group.
The user HBMSUsvc_k2bp is not a member of the View-Only Organization Management Active Directory Group.

all the above should apply correcly and all permissions should be given
