Symptoms

When accessing/interacting with the K2 for SharePoint app a specific user would receive the following error:

Multiple authentication attempts detected

More Details

Detected an instance where Relying Trust is not configured properly, and requesting tokens repeatedly. Please ensure that the link to the K2 Server is added to the browser's trusted sites.
 

Diagnoses

The problem here was the VPN onto the network and then a login to the dev environment as user A combined with running the browser as user B. This effectively tried to pass two users credentials to the K2 box ergo the multiple authentication attempts.

 

Resolution

By giving user B login rights to the dev environment this enabled us to run the interact with the K2 app as strictly one user.
