Symptoms

After running the configure option in the K2 blackpearl Setup Manager, an error is seen when attempting to access Application Forms in the K2 mobile app on iOS devices.
 

Diagnoses

It seems that the the SourceCode.Services.WebApi.dll is updated in content and version after just a reconfiguration of K2 blackpearl is done. This version of the assembly does not appear to be the same as the assembly prior to the config (it is smaller than prior to the configuration).
 

Resolution

A reconfigure of K2 blackpearl should not update assemblies, but only reconfigure the necessary information as input into the setup manager. This has been identified as a bug, and the following item has been logged for the behavior:

Bug 684401: Installer - Reconfiguring with UpdatePatch files should not be replaced, only configurations actions should take place

This relates to the updating of the SourceCode.Services.WebApi.dll during a configuration of K2 blackpearl, and how that changes the content of the assembly to not include the related smartforms content unless a K2 smartforms Configuration is then run after the configuration of K2 blackpearl. This will be resolved with the release of 4.7 coming soon, but in the meantime the recommendation is that if the K2 blackpearl configuration is run to then run the K2 smartforms configuration directly after the fact to ensure this assembly is updated to the proper version to be used with the K2 mobile app.
