Symptoms

In my development environment, there is a form. Inside there are few rules.

I created a deployment package just to deploy this form.

After deploy, the rules are missing in the form.

Diagnoses

It is possible the rules are related to some dependencies that are linked to the form, and not including these dependencies cause some rules to 'break'

Resolution

1. Create the package again on your development environment, but this time, please make sure "Automatically include dependent items" are checked.

2. After you have selected the form to add, the Package and Deployment tool should automatically include any other dependencies.

3. Deploy the package to your production server, and if there are any conflict, right-click on the items and select the proper conflict resolution

4. If the Package and Deployment tool detects new version of Views, SmartObjects and Forms, you should select to deploy a New Version, as your form is referencing the new views and smartobjects. If you have selected to use existing versions, it might result in some referencing or rule errors as well.
