Smartforms rule designer - fields in the 'Action a worklist item' rule gets removed

Symptoms


During the configuration of the 'action a worklist item' action, when areas outside the data field label and textbox (under the 'Save Form Fields' section) are clicked, the Serial Number and Action Name fields are removed from the UI and moved to under My Items in the left panel of K2 designer.
 

Diagnoses


Labs has determined that this is a bug on version 4.7.
 

Resolution

As a workaround, ensure that the fields under 'Workflow item bindings' are filled in before configuring the workflow data fields. Once done, click on OK and the values that you have input will be saved. If you re-configure the rule again, the values are populated.
