Symptoms

Users are unable to access the copy paste options when right clicking on resolved text in the picker control. Highlighting text and right clicking will un-highlight the text, copy and paste are both greyed out.

Diagnoses

This bug is specifically tied to using a picker control when viewed in IE, not specific to any version of IE at that. We do not encounter this issue in Chrome or Firefox. You can use keyboard shortcuts of ctrl-v and ctrl-c to do a copy paste from the picker control. Also, in IE if you double click on the text in the picker control box to highlight it then right click, this will enable you to copy and paste over the text. However, when clicking and dragging across the textbox to highlight and then right clicking, this will deselect the text and not let us copy paste. Finally one last thing I found is that if you highlight the text in the picker control, right clicking to copy paste on the end spaces of the resolved text will let you properly select the copy or paste function in the right click menu.

Resolution

This was logged as a bug with the Picker Control on a SmartForm in IE. When clicking and dragging to highlight the resolved text in a picker control and then right clicking to access copy paste the text will deselect and copy paste is not available because there is no text to execute these functions on.

Workarounds:
-Have users view forms in another browser such as Chrome or Firefox.
-Highlight text in picker control box and use the keyboard shortcuts of ctrl-v ctrl-c to copy paste.
-Users can double click to highlight and then right click to access copy paste functions.
-Clicking on the spaces of the resolved text, on the end or beginning of the string, after highlighting will also allow access to the copy paste functions in the right click menu.
