Symptoms

After upgrading the 4.6.9, smartforms Designer and Runtime do not render properly in IE8, but do in IE11, Chrome and Firefox.
 

Diagnoses

With 4.6.9, IE8 is no longer a supported browser for either Smartforms Runtime or Design-time: http://help.k2.com/en/smartformsmatrix.aspx_RuntimeBrowser

This is why users may see different behavior in your IE8 browser from what you are seeing in IE11, Chrome or Firefox.
 

Resolution

After upgrading to 4.6.9, IE 11 support was added and IE8 support was deprecated. This was so that our support guidelines coincided with Microsoft's. Users must use IE9 or later, or if they choose, Chrome or Firefox.
