Hi,

can you tell me is it possible to do math calulations on a field in a SmartForm view?

I want to be able to sum or multiply two values from two different fields and store the result in another field.

Is this possible?

Cheers,

Sam

Hi Sam,

Yes it is possible.

what you need is to write an expression. On the pop up wizard there will be an operation labelled tab which will have the grouping, mathmatical and operators.

Yes this is possible through calculation functions, http://help.k2.com/helppages/K2smartforms1.0.4/webframe.html#SF_-_CalcExpression_-_Operators_-_Operators.html

Hi sam_oneill_mfe,

Please have a look at the link below as well:

“This is how the layout looks like and is easy to use with the drag and drop feature.”

The following documentation explains the operators a bit more that can be used to create an expression.

http://help.k2.com/HelpPages/K2smartforms1.0.6/default.htm#SF_-_ViewDesigner_Layout_-_Calculation_Expression.html#tracksearch=expression

Hope this also helps.

Let us know if you got your calculation to work.
