We don't use SmartForms at this time.
If I have 100 smartforms and I upgrade from 1.03 to 1.04 on the server side, do I need to perform concurrent upgrade of my 100 smartforms?
Do the forms automatically run in 1.04 or are they linked to 1.03 binary?
Would this require testing of all 100 forms for the upgrade?
I think your smartforms will automatically adjust to the "upgraded smartform" version.
The upgrade will be seamless and the forms will continue to load and function on 1.0.4. The forms are not actual physical pages (like asp.net) on the disk. They don't have any references to any dll on the disk. They are stored in XML format in the K2 database and are rendered on the fly at runtime in the browser.
I would still recommend to do some basic sanity checks of the forms after upgrade like you do with existing workflows on blackpearl.
