Symptoms

Users can still input characters above the max length value when filling in the text area control (IE 9)
 

Diagnoses

When copy-pasting text to a text area control on smartforms, the max length value is not recognized. This behavior is present on IE9. This does not seem to appear on newer versions of IE as well as other browsers.
 

Resolution

This is a known issue but unfortunately there is currently no workaround available. We have included this to be fixed on a future release of the product.
