Symptoms


Applying or changing a retention policy on the SmartActions mailbox causes all SmartActions emails to be reprocessed and sent out.
 

Diagnoses


This is a bug when configuring or changing a retention policy on a SmartActions mailbox.
 

Resolution

To workaround it: Before making changes or creating a retention policy on the SmartActions Account log in to the SmartActions account and empty the inbox. If there are no mails in the inbox and the policy is applied the listener can’t fire and send spam.

This is scheduled to be fixed in the 4.6.9 release.
