Smart Object And K2 Connect Services Failure

Our production server is completely down due to errors in smart objects and k2 connect services. When we try to execute the smart objects and k2 connect services through smart object tester too we are getting some object reference error.


 

Resolution

This issue will occur if the Smartobject Service Tester tool was used to update/refresh the K2 connect service instance as per:

http://help.k2.com/kb000714

The possible solution includes:

1. Removing the K2 connect service instance and re-registering it using the K2 connect Administration tool, if an update/refresh of this K2 connect service instance is needed please also use the K2 connect Administration tool to do so.

2. Updating the "servicetype" service key for the K2 connect service with the following XML using the Smartobject Service Tester tool:



If a refresh/update of this service instance is needed in the future please use the K2 connect Administration tool instead.
