site workflow need to send if remaining days left field has 7

i have a list in which i have a field which is updated by site workflow. The field is number field and it gets updated daily based on current date and a custom date difference. If the value of the number field is  3 or 7 for any item i need to send an email to the user of that item. I am trying with sitw workflow and the email is not triggering.
