Symptoms
'Show a message' dialog doesn't close when the action is followed by a 'Close the form/view/subview' action.
Diagnoses
There is a known issue when using a 'Close the form/view/subview' action after a 'Show a message' action.
Resolution
Workaround:
- Create a hidden Data Label on the View with no text value
- Create a new rule with the following rules:
- 'if a control does not contain a value' (targeting the Data Label)
- 'Close a subview or subform'
- Use your new rule with the 'Execute another rule' action in place of your previous 'Close a subview or subform' action.
