Any idea why a SharePoint List event would write to a list multiple times? I am just trying to write one item to a list but instead of one line item, I get the item 4 times.

How many destinations are set up for the activity where the SP event item resides? K2 creates an instance of the activity (and its events) for each destination so if you have 4 destinations, the SP event will execute 4 times.
If this is the case, you may consider moving the SP event to an activity of its own.
