Symptoms
We originally encountered an error in K2 Workspace titled "Sharepoint Context Data Incorrect" when attempting to run a workflow upon creation of a Sharepoint 2010 list item. Searching for other occurrences of the problem yielded no usable results and we were unable to correct the problem. In order to work around the problem, we attempted to remove the workflow and rebuild it.
Since rebuilding the workflow from scratch, we have been unable to start the K2 workflow when a new list item is added to the list in Sharepoint. There are several other anomalies such as multiple workflows appearing in the Sharepoint list workflow settings and lack of entries in K2 Site Settings -> Workflow Integration Management (or Sharepoint Events Management).
It appears to be some kind of environment configuration issue, possibly within our Sharepoint site. At this point, we have exhausted all of our knowledge upon how to approach the problem.
Diagnoses
Identified that the workflow has both the SharePoint event item starting the workflow and the SharePoint integration starting the workflow, so there are two items doing this.
Resolution
By creating a new version that has just the SharePoint interrogation and copy and paste the other workflow activities to the new workflow. Once that is done you have to deploy the new workflow that will just start 1 instance and do what you expect it to.
