From a K2 workflow, what would be the best way to determine if a Sharepoint 2010 "document set" exists?
Hi ref,
Have you already created a SharePoint document set? I think maybe it would be good to first make sure you can use a document set in a workflow by enabling the Create Document Set feature.
Here is some documentation for that:
K2 Designer for SharePoint - Create Document Set
- Designers > K2 Designer for SharePoint 2010 > Design Tools > Navigation Ribbon > Workflow Steps > Document Wizards > Create Document Set
SharePoint Documents Wizard - Create Document Set
- Designers > K2 Designer for Visual Studio > Design Tools > Toolbox > Event Wizards > SharePoint 2010 Event Wizards > SharePoint Documents Wizard > Create Document Set Flow
In the prerequisites for both it notes:
It is important to perform the following in SharePoint in order to use the Create Document Set feature:
- Activate the Document Sets Site Collection Feature on the specific SharePoint Site Collection
- Allow management of Content Types on the specific SharePoint Library
- Add Document Set to Content Types in Document Library Settings
Hi Ref
Have a look at the following document it covers document sets in k2, it will really come in handy:

I'm able to create a document set from a K2 workflow, but when it comes time to add documents I need to determine if the document set exists, if it does not I need to create it. I can't seem to find a SharePoint 2010 Event within K2 that will let me determine if the document set exits, get the meta data.
