Symptoms

After uninstall K2 For SharePoint components from SharePoint Server, there are errors like this logged in SharePoint logs:-
>MissingSetupFile] File FeaturesSourceCode.SharePoint.WebPart.Reporting14_ReportingWebpartsSilverlightModuleProcessGraphWebpart.xap] is referenced 1] times in the database WSS_Content_100], but is not installed on the current farm. Please install any feature/solution which contains this file. One or more setup files are referenced in the database WSS_Content_100], but are not installed on the current farm. Please install any feature or solution which contains these files.

 

Diagnoses

The first thing we try is the solution provided in http://get-spscripts.com/2011/06/diagnosing-missingsetupfile-issues-from.html but it doesn't helps.
 

Resolution

Based on the DB name and the setup file names from Setup Logs, we made a cross checks with dbo.AllDocs in SharePoint content database. We filter it based on SetupPath being complained in Setup Logs and from there, we able to see complete list of missing setup files that SharePoint logs are complaining.

Based on the siteID returned from dbo.AllDocs above, we able to delete the unwanted files manually in SharePoint Designer directly from SharePoint sites.

This is not reproducible from our end even when we tried to remove K2 For SharePoint Component without deactivate the K2 For SharePoint Features.
