Hi

With SP 2013 new workflow architecture, lot of improvements were done to make it more scalable.

As we understand, scalabilty provides the following advantages -  better performance in terms of page rendering response time, ability to run more number of processes simultaneously, ability to run long running process, availability, ability to store several workflow instances .... , persistance ...

Please convince me how K2 is better than SP 2013 with respect to above factors and would also like to know at hight level how the architecture of K2 differs from that of SP 2013 with focus on scalability, complexity and performance.

This is too much of a broader topic to give all the answers in this forum. Please contact your local sales representative and they will be happy to arrange a call with one of the Technical guys to run through the differences.
