Symptoms

A K2 Management site in SP2010 runs Scheduled processes for sending email and starting new processes daily.

What can I do for the scheduled processes when I move to SP2013. Is there a solution for SP2013.

Diagnoses

There is no current functionality to schedule tasks in SharePoint 2013 out of the box.

Resolution

Some clients used the advice on
http://community.k2.com/t5/K2-blackpearl/How-to-schedule-K2-workflows-that-run-periodically/td-p/76465/page/2
to build an application that references the K2 API to start a process instance using this code: https://www.k2.com/onlinehelp/k2blackpearl/devref/4.6.9/default.htm_Start_Instance_and_Get_Data_Fields.html
and then used the windows task scheduler to schedule the tasks
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc748993.aspx

However, in this document: http://help.k2.com/kb001614 is specified that this feature along with several others are planned to be included in the next few releases.

So the current options are either to build the custom solution, or keep using SharePoint 2010, till the features get added for K2 for SharePoint 2013.
