Symptoms

1) When executing a method in the smart object services tester tool the error received is "Oauth token requires authentication."

2) Package has missing references to the Service instance for the QA Sharepoint Site.
 

Diagnoses

1) To solve the OAuth token error the registration wizard needs to be run as tenant admin.

2)Package does not contain the service instance. When deploying you need to change the value of the service instance in the package from the Dev Service instance to the Prod Service instance.
 

Resolution

1) Running the Smart Object service tester tool as the service account did not throw the OAuth token error.

2) This particular package that was being deployed did not contain the service instance for the QA Sharepoint site and the associated smart objects had reference errors. Package was recreated that included service instance and the service instance was adjusted to "use an already existing service instance" for the QA Site. It was also noted that before doing the deployment the columns in the Sharepoint list we were deploying to on production must mirror those on Development.
