Symptoms
Workspace shows the following error "Source: Send E-mail Event" "Exception of type 'SourceCode.SmartObjects.Client.SmartObjectException' was thrown." after deploying a package containing Workflow with client event.
Diagnoses
Checking the event post deployment the following is not mapped anymore:
'Item References' andgt 'Created By' andgt 'Email' and needs to be remapped and the WF redeployed.
Resolution
The issue was resolved by a coldfix. Please contact k2 support and reference tfs#684691
