All,

I've a workflow attached to a newsfeed list.

Every hour a site workflow is scheduled to run every hour and it sends out the latest newsfeeds to a distribution list.

The schedule minimum is every hour. Normally this works fine

except today.

A new item was added at 09:20 and the schedule ran at 10:00. This was 'too late' for some people.

The repeat settings minimum seems to be 1 Hours. I did try 0.5 Hours and it didn't seem to like it.

How could I get the workflow to run every 30 minutes or even better when a post is added to the newsfeed list?

Thanks

Andrew

i guess as a fudgey solution you could have your site workflow have a pause in it for half hour and run again.  that way it runs every half hour?

You could set up multiple schedules for the same site workflow at your desired intervals. This would allow the site workflow to run every 20 minutes (for instance). For example, you could run the site workflow on the hour (9:00 pm, 10:00 pm, 11:00 pm, etc.), 20 after the hour (9:20 pm, 10:20 pm, 11:20 pm, etc.), and 40 after the hour (9:40 pm, 10:40 pm, 11:40 pm, etc.).

To accomplish this, you would configure the first schedule to run on the hour (9:00 pm), Repeat Settings = every 1 hour, and Schedule End = Indefinite.  Then do the same thing for your desired interval times (9:20 pm and 9:40 pm).  Below is what that would look like.
