Symptoms

I have a form with base State And 2 different other states (new/ edit). In the base state, I have added a rule (On “A” View, when add Product Toolbar is clicked).

At first, the rule added in the base state will show up in the other 2 states (new/edit). However, today when editing the form, the rule disappeared from those states.

When trying to add back the rule in the 2 states, there is a prompt saying that “You are trying to configure an existing rule. To load the existing rule click Yes, otherwise click No to configure a new rule”. After clicking “Yes”, the rule is still not displayed.

Diagnoses

This was found to be a bug. For non-base states, when you add a new action to a pre-existing rule under one of the views, it causes the pre-existing rule to disappear. The rule still shows up in the Base State though.

Resolution

Our labs has logged this as a bug to be fixed in a future release.

As a workaround, you can go to the particular view that uses the missing rule and add the rule there. After which, go back to the form and check the Rules in the non-state base, you will be able to see the missing rule again.
