Resolving nested groups
 

Diagnoses


We have an AD group that has users and a nested AD group. When it is used as the data source in the picker, it only displays the named users (not the nested groups). Is there something we need to do in addition to the nested groups checkbox in Workspace.
 

Resolution

This will apply if you are making use of Smartobject that is based off the "ADService2" broker. Although this broker will also have a "ResolveNestedGroups" flag this setting is a completely separate setting from the "Resolve Nested Groups" that is in K2 Workspace (this setting in K2 Workspace will update/affect the "K2" Security LabelIdentity Service behavior"User Role Manager Service" Smartobjects).

As such, please also updated the ADService2 service instance "ResolveNestedGroups" = true if applicable.
