Replacing old production infrastructure
 

Diagnoses

When your working to build a new production infrastructure, with a pair of new K2 Servers (farm configured) along with the database being hosted on a new SQL Enterprise Server. Are there steps on how to make the correct way t transition production workflow definitions and in flight instances from the current k2 production server to the new farm?

 

Resolution

The best way to move process definitions over to the new server would be to take a backup of the old database and then point this to the new server using out set up manager to reconfigure K2 against the old database for the new environment.
