I am working on a project where the client wants to be able to select from saved Templates. within the form though there is a repeating section with lines of data, now I'm able to get all the Template data as well as repeating section xml from the selected Template via lookups/varialbes/Web Request (I tried all to see if it would make a difference...) but unable to load the XML data into the Repeating section control since it seems you are only able to connect this to a list field of type multiple lines of text and nothing else no Variable or form control, surely though there must be a way to do this.

I know that it can be done through extensive java script using Classic forms but 1. I don't know JavaScript very well and 2. I would very much prefer to use Responsive forms.

I was then thinking that there must be a way to get the xml and store it in a field or variable and save (so the xml is written to a list field) without closing the form so I can then read the xml from the connected field... 

Does anyone have any ideas on how this could be done?
