Hi,

 

I get csv files emailed through to a SharePoint document library on a daily basis. Everyday the file has a different name and I want to create a little workflow to update it to a standard file name that will overwrite yesterdays version. I will then have some automated scripts running on this file (not K2 related)

 

Is there any easy way to rename the file? Seems like an easy action that Im having trouble figuring out how to achieve. 

 

I am using SharePoint 2010 and Blackpearl 4.6.11

I haven't tried it but this may work:

 

  1. Copy the file giving the copy your new file name
  2. Delete the original file

Unfortunately Copy file or Move file SharePoint Document Events do not allow you to specify file names
