Error after decommissioning Smartforms server

We had attempted to perform a Smartforms installation a while back and installed this on a separate server. We have since then decommissioned this server, but now we keep getting the error "28039 Could not connect to XXXX". (where XXXX is the name of the decommissioned server)


 

 

Resolution


To remove a server, first BACKUP the K2 database or the K2Server database and delete the entry of the server in the K2.server.server or K2Server.Dbo._Server table, restart the K2 Service and that should prevent the error from popping up.
